Dhaka is where I started, and where home still is. Kolkata is where Bengali cinema asks me different questions — Kaushik Ganguly, Srijit Mukherji — work that fits a different rhythm. Mumbai (Kadak Singh, 2023) is where Hindi cinema lives, and where the scale of the machine is unlike anything else.
The trick isn't switching between them. It's noticing what each place insists you bring. Bangla cinema asks for stillness; Tollywood asks for sharper edges; Hindi asks for scale. The work is the same. The room changes.
